In recent months, Malta has attracted ample digital currency companies, so much, that its becoming renowned as, ‘blockchain island.’ Several large cryptocurrency companies decided to move or extend their operations to Malta, such companies like, Binance, Bet365 and OKEx.
As an addition to the crypto currency companies in Malta, ZB.com, will be setting up shop on the island in September. The company announced that it will be opening an office and a trading platform in Malta, with an initial investment of 20 million dollars for the first three years. In addition to that, the company intends to generate over 150 jobs on the island.
Jimmy Zhao, the co-founder of ZB.com, mentioned that, “Malta is perhaps the world’s most progressive and forward-thinking nation in DLT, crypto, and Fintech, and we are very excited to be part of the Blockchain Island.” Additionally, he added that they feel confident that they will be able to announce their live operations in Malta, in the very near future.
As a welcoming and congratulatory response, last Monday, Silvio Schembri, the Parliamentary Secretary tweeted, “Looking forward for your investment of over 20M in the first 3 years and employing over 150 people.”
ZB.com does not provide a digital token of its own and at first, it will solely work with crypto to crypto exchanges, however, in the future, it aims to grow its services with the crypto-fiat pairs.
